A.RE.S.S. PUGLIA – STRATEGIC REGIONAL AGENCY FOR HEALTH
The main objective is to create an increasingly integrated social and health system, supported by technology but also human. With this vision, Regional Law No. 29 of 2017 established the Regional Strategic Agency for Health and Social Assistance.
The AReSS is a technical-operational and instrumental body at the service of the Puglia Region, and the Public Administration, for the management of social and health policies: it organizes and improves, through the continuous monitoring and verification of the results, the correspondence of the regional health system to the needs and expectations of the health demand of people in Puglia.
AReSS also carries out studies on improving the use of essential social services, demand for services arising from emerging needs and social cohesion.
It promotes and enhances virtuous relationships in the health and social-health sector between the world of research, the business sector and the community, through the study of interactions within civil society.
It promotes the integration of citizenship rights and the culture of health through education.
