ONTOLOGY ENGINEERING GROUP (OEG)


The Ontology Engineering Group (OEG), based at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Spain's largest technological university, has focused on developing semantic infrastructure since 1995. With UPM recognized as a Campus of International Excellence, the OEG is notable for its strong performance in research, ranking within the top 10 of UPM's research groups.

This group consists of 50 researchers who have established themselves in various fields, including ontological engineering, data integration, linked data and semantic web, natural language processing, and semantic eScience.

Their expertise highlights the group's important contributions to advancing knowledge and technology in these areas. The OEG's research activities are characterized by their depth and breadth, positioning the group as a key player in the domain of semantic technologies and their applications across different scientific and technological fields.

PROJECT ROLE

SILO is the PROCURE Project Coordinator. SILO leads the definition of the project strategy and planning of actions and is also responsible for the management of the project covering technical, administrative, legal and financial issues, as well as the relation with the EC.
